Martin Gort is a professional percussionist for over 25 years. He took percussion classes in Cuba and West-Africa. His percussion can be heard on more than a hundred cd's. He contributed to several Dutch television-shows such as Schreeuw van de Leeuw, Telekids, Kinderen voor kinderen, Tros TV-show and Jack Spijkerman. Martin is also a very experienced teacher and workshop leader. At the moment Martin is in the process of recording an instruction-DVD for congeros. Martin cooperated with well known artists such as: Afrika Soli, Salsaya, Batida, Nikky Marrero, Rosenberg Trio, Paul de Leeuw, Andre Hazes, Marco Borsato, Lee Towers, René Froger, Demis Roussos, Gloria Gaynor, Denise Jannah, The Trammps, het Metropool orkest, T-set, Toots Thielemans, Pia Beck, Tata Mirando, Daniel Sahuleka, Loïs Lane, Karin Bloemen, Cor Bakker, Zucchero, and many others.
